The role

 

Based in Jakarta, this role will lead Project Teams in developing new facilities to deliver oil and gas, on schedule, within budget, and meeting all HSE and operating performance requirements.

 

Reporting to the Project Technical and Construction Manager, you are an experienced Projects Engineer, having been central to the delivery of offshore and onshore projects from detailed engineering, through procurement, construction and installation, to commissioning and operations, whilst remaining sensitive to the politics of operating in Indonesia (you may have been a Project Manager in the past).

 

The primary focus of this role is supporting the Project Manager, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of construction and offshore activities whilst managing and developing National staff.

 

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

 

·    Deliver projects with highest practical health and safety practices in line with Corporate (ALARP) and legislative standards.

·    Supervise project management, engineering and support teams

·    Identify and obtain necessary resources for efficient execution of the project

·    Develop, record and obtain contracting strategy approvals

·    Ensure all operational, contracting and procurement practices meet corporate and SKKMIGAS requirements to ensure prudent cost control and ensure full Cost Recovery.

·    Mediate conflicts, manage project budgets, ensure project is delivered on schedule

·    Represent Client at meetings with regulators and JV partners, providing monthly reporting to all stakeholders (internal and external)

·    Ensure project documentation (basis of design, scope of work, schedules, administration procedures, handover documents, close out reports, etc.) is developed during the project with proper approvals and archived on completion.

·    Development and management of expatriate and Indonesian staff members

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelors Degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline

 

Profile

 

Skills / experience:

·      20 years + engineering experience within the Upstream oil and gas industry

·      Experience in Subsea project developments well regarded, as is SE Asia exposure

·      On- and offshore project management/team leadership experience

Knowledge

·      Project Management systems and procedures, related budgeting/planning and cost control methodologies

·      Design engineering practices, QA/QC and HSE processes

·      Knowledge of fabrication methods, their respective advantages and disadvantages

·      Knowledge of transport/installation techniques and vessels for offshore pipeline/PLEM installation programmes

·      Commissioning and start up processes
