Key to the successful completion of the handover process, is the correct set up during the FEED (Front End Engineering Design) phase where alignment of strategy and quantification of the delivery is baselined. The FEED phase can either generate a "Detailed FEED" phase, or a separate "Detailed Design" phase. This is fully dependant on the agreed Project Execution Plan. It is noted that an extended FEED stage, can be generated where several companies are still tendering for the project, and further "competition" is generated under a paid FEED Phase.
